Marlan Space and Loft Orbital Join Forces
Marlan Space, a new space firm based in Abu Dhabi and linked to the global conglomerate International Holding Company (IHC), which is also located in Abu Dhabi, has teamed up with Loft Orbital, a US-based space infrastructure company. They have joined forces to start Orbitworks, which is the first private space infrastructure company in the Middle East.
Orbitworks’ Ambitious Plans and Developments
Orbitworks will be the UAE’s first company to create commercial satellite networks in low Earth orbit (LEO). Starting with more than $100 million in funding, Orbitworks plans to manufacture up to fifty satellites, each weighing 500 kilograms, every year.
