Renowned for its smartphones and electronics, Samsung is now focusing on Nokia’s network technology and equipment. This possible purchase might bring major changes for both firms and the wider mobile sector. By obtaining these assets, Samsung plans to enhance its market presence and advance its network capabilities.     Samsung Wants To Buy Nokia’s Assets

    Samsung Electronics Co., the leading smartphone manufacturer globally, has shown a keen interest in acquiring the mobile network division of Nokia Oyj, a major player in telecom equipment, according to recent news. Sources within the industry suggest that the South Korean technology leader might pursue these assets to position itself as the second-largest contender in this field.

    On August 29, Bloomberg revealed that Nokia Mobile Network division is attracting initial interest from potential buyers, including Samsung, as the telecom equipment industry faces mounting challenges. According to insiders quoted by Bloomberg, the complete unit might be worth around $10 billion.

    The Finnish firm is exploring various options, including selling part or all of its mobile network division. Spinning it off, or merging with another company, as reported. Bloomberg reports that Samsung has demonstrated initial interest in purchasing certain assets from Nokia to enhance its position in radio access networks, which connect mobile devices to telecommunications infrastructure. Other competitors might also be drawn to these potential sales. This news comes as Nokia faces intense competition from Chinese firms like Huawei Technologies Co.

    Nokia Refused The Claim

    Nokia has refuted the claims, asserting that it remains dedicated to the growth of its Nokia Mobile Network division. Which is a crucial resource for both the company and its clients. In a statement released to the stock exchange, Nokia stated. “The company has no announcements to make regarding the rumors mentioned in today’s article. And there are no insider projects related to this matter.”

    Once Nokia the top mobile phone producer worldwide. Nokia expanded its mobile network segment by purchasing assets from Siemens AG, Motorola Inc., and Panasonic Holding Corp. This approach was designed to discover new avenues for growth after the company sold its cellphone division to Microsoft Corp. in 2013.
